Pedestal Dance
Russell Bruner and Sugar Kane demonstrate their dancing skills on a tiny pedestal measuring approximately 4 feet in diameter and a death defying 2 feet off of the ground. Throughout the dance they demonstrate their ability to control their aerial dance lifts and execute fancy footwork all whilst maintaining balance on the pedestal. (more…)



Here is an act that combines baseball, comedy and acrobatics. Scott Maxwell and Russell Bruner go head to head and head to foot in this crazy act. These two also played the role of Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum in the Wanderlust Circus Production of Alice in Wonderland doing this very act.
Scarlett and Russell first got together to perform the tale of how a bee makes honey at the Bite of Oregon. These two have also performed with the March Fourth Marching Band at the Crystal Ballroom for the Birthday Celebration. Their act combines floor acrobatics with stilt work.
This act was put together for a special burlesque performance at Tiki Oasis ‘09. In this act the beautiful Meghan Mayhem loses the moo-moo and catches the eyes of Surfer Russ. Tana the Tattooed Lady and Russell Bruner have performed several burlesque numbers together. However, the act that they’ve performed more times than any other number is the tale of Little Bo Peep. In this number Russell Bruner finds the sheep and goes to collect his reward, etc.
In the Wanderlust Circus production of Cirque L’amour Paulina and Russell perform solo acts as well as partner dance numbers as they help tell the love story loosely adapted from Charlie Chaplin’s silent screen classic The Circus, with physical comedian Tommy Twimble portraying the hapless Tramp as he stumbles in and out of love and stardom.
In this tale we discover the outcome of what happens when one monster mistakenly begets another. This is an act of revenge and love that is mainly showcased every other week at Dante’s Sinferno in downtown Portland. This act has also been featured in Uncle Ererie’s Shiver Show, The Sideshow Speakeasy of the Wanderlust Circus, Rose City Vaudeville’s series of the Alchemist, the Attack of Jack at various Stars Cabaret locations, and more.
