This weekend we have a lot happening in Vancouver. For starters we will be representing Swing at the First Friday Art Walk with live music by the Swing Time Fascinators. The event is FREE and will take place on Main Street in front of the Vancouver Ballroom from 5:00-8:00.

We’ll also be having a FREE dance this Saturday as a special Farewell to Larry Peacock who will be moving to New Mexico to be close to his sweetheart. Larry has done a fabulous job of getting things started at the Vancouver Ballroom, and we hope to help keep things going over there to sustain a home for dancing in Vancouver.

Being from Vancouver myself, it means a lot to me to provide something in my home town that I wish existed while I was growing up. I’ve also organized several dances over the past 6 years in various locations in Vancouver, and I’m especially excited to be at this central location in this spacious venue. I’m looking forward to the future of Swing at the Vancouver Ballroom and getting a chance to work with Amber and all the other community members who have been putting their time into this project. We appreciate your help and support!
